SAD STORY - 5410 Valerie St, Bellaire, TX 77401
Absolutely. I’d clean up the grammar and flow while keeping the candid tone and your point intact:
In the interest of honesty and integrity, we have to admit: our team didn’t sell this home.
We tried for nearly a year. It’s a gorgeous home, but ultimately, it didn’t work out that we were the team to sell it.
We invested hundreds of hours, hosted more than 20+ open houses, my team even personally accompanied and/or coordinated more than 50 showings, had professional photos taken four different times, virtually staged photos, met with contractors, helped select paint colors, and invested thousand and thousands of dollars in time and money marketing this home.
We received multiple verbal offers and we received two solid written offers. The first came early in the listing but was rejected. The second went under contract, but the buyer ultimately backed out.
While we have our thoughts about what could have been done differently to sell the home in a more timely manner, we’ll be discreet. You can’t win them all. We’re grateful for what this experience taught us—including things we’ll never do again.
There is also something we hope homeowners understand: real estate agents invest their own time and hard-earned money into marketing and selling your home. When a listing is taken away after that investment has been made, the agent has no way to recover those expenses. The homeowner gets to move on, but the agent walks away with nothing for the time, work, and money invested.
